“One thing I love when traveling is trying out local diners. Chef Darrell's Mountain Diner was above and beyond what I even thought was possible. I spent the weekend in the area recently and had the best Eggs Benedict for my birthday. I loved the atmosphere and the owner came out and mingled with customer's and was very welcoming!!!! Very neat story behind the diner itself. 10/10 incredible establishment 👏”

“One of the BEST breakfast experiences I've ever had. We were seated and waited on quickly. The chef came to our table and talked with us briefly which was something I've never experienced in a restaurant in my entire life. He was so friendly and made us feel welcome and appreciated. The food was excellent. My husband and I both had the omelet special and our daughter had the breakfast quesadilla. We did not leave hungry or dissatisfied. I wrote this review while my husband was paying our tab if that tells you anything. Would absolutely eat here again!”

“This is an exceptional diner both in atmosphere and quality of food. They have a wonderful menu and an awesome mix between comfort and refinement with the items they have on both the regular menu and the specials. Everything was good, but the chicken and waffles were absolutely insane. The most tender piece of fried chicken I’ve had on light fluffy waffles.”

“A stop at Chef Darrell’s for breakfast following a family trip to the Adirondacks has become an annual tradition. They got all the classic breakfast staples that you would find at a diner (as well as a few surprises, like shrimp & grits and chicken fried steak). Chef Darrell has always been there to welcome us in and invite us back after our meal. The service is attentive and efficient and the food always provides the comfort and satisfaction we're looking for before we head back to the real world. Looking forward to my next stop next year!”

“Best diner eggs I've ever had. I got the chicken and waffles, the chicken was tender and crispy and the waffle was cooked to perfection. The scrambled eggs came out beautiful, extra fluffy and buttery and I cannot stress this enough.. again cooked to perfection!”

“Just wow! The food was AMAZING 🤩 we got the French toast and chicken and waffles and they did not disappoint. The owner darelle came out to greet us and make sure we were enjoying our food and experience. His good energy was felt tremendously through his food and his way that you could tell her truly cared. What a great place to eat after camping all weekend. They even have a bar. Can’t wait to come back ! Oh and our dog was welcomed to sit with us on the deck outside 🫶🏼”

“We have a new favorite breakfast place in the Adirondacks and Daryl's is it! I normally get eggs but I spotted salted caramel french toast on the menu and it was incredible. I don't know what a diner is really, a trailer, or a train car, but it was spotless, beautiful and a throwback to the fifties in a wonderful nostalgic way. The server couldn't have been more personable! The owner was hanging out at the counter and was chatting with locals, his demeanor easy and loveable. A taste bud memory I now cherish when I recall my vacation.”

“We went here for breakfast before a long journey, and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are good. The taste speaks for the quality ingredients. The servers and the atmosphere is friendly and open. They accommodated our food requests and helped us choose the best dishes for us.”

“Chef Darrell’s Mountain Diner is friendly and welcoming. He’s very much concerned that his customers are satisfied with his menu. I ordered a Rubin panini it was loaded with hand cut corned beef, the right amount of Swiss and sauerkraut with a great tasting sauce on his tasty grilled bread. My wife ordered stuffed French toast with berries. She noticed that the bread wasn’t ordinary white but an artisan thicker slice that had a wonderful taste in itself. The cream cheese sauce used in the stuffing was creamy and tasty. We agree this is our new favorite diner.”
